Daylight savings has really messed with my head this week. I know we are only an hour behind, but I’m all kinds of confused. I’m ready for bed before prime time TV. I wake up at 5:30, just waiting for my alarm clock to catch up. I’m hungry at 5 and then thirty minutes later the sun is setting.
I have decided to blame anything that goes wrong this week on Daylight Savings and not myself.
I bought a delicious pre-made salad during my weekly Sunday grocery trip so that I would have Monday’s lunch ready to go, free of prep work. My tempting salad spent the day in the fridge. Where I left it. Because I forgot my lunch. Luckily, I have a mini fridge in my classroom so I had a cold La Croix beverage and some yogurt. Obviously the fault of the time change.
Halloween decorations are just sitting in a pile in the middle of the house. I know it needs to get packed up and put away, but, I don’t wanna. I feel so tired at night when it’s so dark outside and I’m just being lazy. Oh well, I pile of pumpkins, kitchen towels, candy bowl and outside decor is still me being festive, right?
I’m even too lazy/tired to fix my nails! It’s a hot mess. Once some polish peeled off, I just kept going. Now, I’m left with four purple painted fingers per hand.
I’m going to also blame being a girl and Halloween here… but there has been a lack of diet/gym focus this week. I have been feeling busy, tired (crampy!) and I haven’t done any exercise other than dog walking. I’m also craving sugar this week (thanks Halloween treats still being everywhere and PMS hunger).
Man, life is hard.
Well, I guess it’s time to pick at my nail polish before I eat a whole cake and take a nap next to my pile of Halloween treasures!
Just kidding, I’m being whining. Truthfully, I’m going to heat up my crockpot chicken and mushroom leftovers and read my book because book club is Friday!
Have a great week!
