In honor of Shark Week I have to share some great pictures with you. I haven’t told you much about Mike yet, but he and I have been together forever (and by forever, I mean almost 9 years). He loves sharks, I swear this is probably his favorite holiday. In fact, he just left because he is driving a few hours away to do a night-shark-dive!
We are both divers, and I do enjoy it, t00 (although I’ve had some trouble with my ears so I am cautious). However, Mike is much more advanced and interested in aspects of diving that I am not. Like night diving. I want it to be bright and open, I want to see coral and other colorful animals. He wants to explore caves and shipwrecks. And sharks. At night. Insanity.
He is also a photographer and specializes in underwater photography so he was excited to pack up his camera and get going! While he’s out, I thought I would share some of his pictures from previous shark dives.
And just look how happy he is taking this underwater selfie:
Can’t wait to see what kind of shots he brings back tonight! That’s if he comes back…
Remember, even though they frighten us sometimes, there are hundreds of species of sharks and very few species have ever been involved in human attacks. They are much more afraid of us than we should be of them. I know I’ll be watching the new shark shows tonight. Happy Shark Week!
